Republican Presidential Candidates

Republican Presidential Candidates held a debate tonight in the Reagan Library. I personally am a fan of Ron Paul, who is for a much smaller federal government. He gets very little attention by the main stream media and is practically ignored in the polls. He is all about getting the government out of the private lives of the public.

The field of eight tonight did not impress me much. Newt Gingrich is always a top favorite for me. He is clear spoken and seems to be strong in his ability to get his point across. Rick Perry is not impressive to me. I think he may be a loose cannon. Michelle Bauchman has been a favorite as a Congresswoman, but she may be out of her league here.

On MSNBC, Al Sharpton said let's make bumper stickers that says "It's not about Obama, it's about your mama." This of course in response to Rick Perry calling Social Security a ponze scheme. I agree with Perry in the sense that Social Security has been raided to a point of being on the verge of bankruptsy. Will such a statement help? Probably not.
